Midstream assets play a major role in the world’s energy infrastructure, providing security of supply on both a local and international level. Many of these systems form part of critical national infrastructure and cover complex environments from freezing deepwater seabeds to high altitude, remote terrain.

Installing, operating and maintaining complex pipeline systems requires mapping, permitting and route planning as well as significant engineering and design expertise to ensure long-term, reliable operations.

Furthermore, as governments and operators look to provide sustainable energy for cities and industries of the future, there is a clear opportunity to electrify current systems, repurpose infrastructure for hydrogen and carbon capture and storage, and introduce automated systems to increase integrity and assurance.
